So Much Growth to Share — Catch Up on Our Latest Updates!

Hello friends,

What a season of growth and gratitude it has been! If you’ve been in Powell Pharmacy lately, you have probably seen the physical changes we have made to the pharmacy but beyond that we’ve been intentionally expanding our services and deepening our mission to help you live a healthier, more purposeful life.

There’s been a lot of exciting growth, so I thought I’d gather all our latest updates here for you.

Compounding

We’re thrilled to announce that custom compounding is officially here! This means we can now create individualized medications tailored to your specific needs, everything from hormone therapy, dermatologic products, pediatric formulations, pet medicine and so much more. We are not set up to compound GLP-1s.

Compounding allows us to meet you exactly where you are in your wellness journey. It’s another way we’re helping you move from autopilot to aligned living.

Aligned Hormones

Hormones influence everything from mood, energy, and weight to sleep, libido, and overall vitality. When they’re out of balance, life feels off-center.

Aligned Hormones is designed to help you restore clarity, confidence, and control through intentional, personalized care. Your journey begins with targeted hormone lab testing and a thorough intake process to help us understand your symptoms, history, and goals.

After your lab results are in, you’ll meet one-on-one with our hormone health pharmacist for a comprehensive review of your results and symptoms. You’ll receive expert recommendations, clear insight into what’s driving your imbalance, and a personalized plan to move forward with confidence.

Journeys

Our newest service, Journeys, is comprehensive biomarker and nutrient testing. Every cell in your body is whispering... shhh let’s listen. You don’t need another shelf full of supplements; you need the ones that match your body’s rhythm. The Journeys test allows us to look deeper at your biomarkers, labs, lifestyle, and goals to uncover what your body truly needs. It’s not about more supplements; it’s about the right supplements. Aligned. Personalized. Nothing more, nothing less.

Each “journey” includes lab testing, supplement support, and one-on-one guidance from our pharmacists.

The Intentional Living with Emlah podcast continues to grow, and I’m so grateful for each of you tuning in and sharing your stories with us. These conversations remind us that intentional living looks different for everyone, but always begins with awareness and choice.

New episodes drop every Wednesday! Be sure to subscribe so you can grow with us each week.

Here are two powerful episodes you won’t want to miss:

Pooja: Finding Alignment Through Yoga and Movement

I sat down with Pooja, owner of Union Yoga Studio in Powell, to talk about how movement is medicine and how yoga helped her navigate postpartum depression and rediscover balance.

We explored how clarity, mental strength, and mobility are all connected, and how boundaries are acts of self-respect that protect your peace.

Robin: Living with Joy and Purpose

Robin is a life coach and founder of The MIRTH Project, and we sat down to talk about finding purpose through giving, gratitude, and living with joy. She explores how small, intentional acts, like sharing kindness or defining your personal values, can create lasting change in your life and in your community. It’s a heartfelt reminder that purpose grows when we serve others with love.

Seasons of change, whether big or small, can leave us feeling unsteady or overwhelmed. This month, try a simple, intentional practice to help you stay grounded and foster personal growth. Here are a few ideas:

  1. Pause & Reflect: Each morning, take 3 minutes to reflect on what you are grateful for and what you intend to cultivate in your day.
  2. Movement & Mindfulness: Engage in at least 10 minutes of movement or mindful breathing to reconnect with your body and calm your mind.
  3. Weekly Check-In: At the end of the week, jot down one insight, one challenge, and one victory. Celebrate your growth and adjust your intentions as needed.

A recent study found that individuals with higher vitamin D levels during midlife had lower amounts of tau protein buildup in the brain years later (one of the key markers associated with Alzheimer’s disease). Do you now understand why I say you have to have a vitamin D above 70ng/mL to be my friend? Researchers believe midlife may be one of the most important windows for prevention and long-term brain health support. Healthy aging starts with intentional living and focusing on the...

Low Dose Naltrexone (often called LDN) has become one of the most talked-about compounded therapies in the wellness and chronic illness space. But what makes it so different? Originally developed in much higher doses for addiction treatment, LDN uses a much smaller dose, typically around 1.5–4.5 mg, and is being explored for its potential role in supporting inflammation balance, immune function, discomfort, fatigue, and overall wellness. What’s especially interesting is that researchers...

We often think about health as the supplements we take, the foods we eat, or how much we exercise but our everyday environment matters too. New research published in the Journal of the Endocrine Society found that exposure to PFAS (“forever chemicals”) during childhood may negatively impact bone development during adolescence. These chemicals are commonly found in drinking water, food packaging, nonstick cookware, stain-resistant materials, and many everyday products. The study is another...
