Intentional Living: The Reset Your Heart Has Been Waiting For

This week’s newsletter is dedicated to re-emphasizing what I’m most passionate about. The way I live, practice, and care for others through Intentional Living. This isn’t about learning something new, it’s about returning to something true. Intentional Living is my way of life, the lens through which I practice, and the foundation of how I show up in every space that matters. When we nurture the Four Pillars (Nutrition, Movement, Inner Alignment, and Positive Social Connection) we create steadiness not by doing more, but by doing what aligns with who we already are. Today, my hope is that this feels like your permission slip to reset, your reminder that you’re not alone, and the encouragement that carries you into the new year feeling aligned and uplifted.

In this heartfelt podcast episode, I sit down with my dear friend and longtime collaborator, Ronni D’Agostino, PharmD - Pharmacy Manager at Powell Pharmacy, mom of two, and a voice many of you already know. Our conversation truly does feel like a warm coffee chat between friends: honest, reflective, and full of heart. We talk openly about the overwhelm that often peaks during the holiday season, the long to-do lists, the pressure to keep everything moving, and the collective yearning so many of us feel to pause, recalibrate, and reconnect to what matters most.

Together, Ronni and I unpack Intentional Living through the metaphor of a sturdy table, because when even one leg is missing (Nutrition, Movement, Inner Alignment, or Positive Social Connection), everything starts to wobble. We reflect on why January is the perfect moment for a live experience like the Intentional Living Experience - when so many of us are doing all the “right things,” yet still feeling out of alignment or disconnected. If you’re craving clarity, reflection, direction, or simply a reset with supportive guardrails, this episode will speak straight to your spirit.

This conversation naturally leads to something I’m truly excited about, the Intentional Living Experience happening January 24, 2026. If this newsletter or my most recent podcast episode stirred something in you, that’s because the event carries the same energy: honest reflection, practical support, and meaningful connection. January is the season of resets and fresh rhythms, but also the time many of us realize that even while doing the “right things,” something still feels off. This event was created for that exact moment, to help you strengthen the legs of your own life table through the Four Pillars, surrounded by community, clarity, and accountability. And yes, we’ll be bringing the InBody body composition analysis to the experience, giving you a true baseline to build from that goes far beyond a traditional scale or BMI. This is your opportunity to pause, realign, and move forward with intention, together, not alone.

So consider this your official reminder: the podcast and newsletter plants the seed, but the experience brings it to life. Don’t just listen in this season: step in. Bring a friend, bring your sister, bring your people. Transformation travels farther when shared.

As we close out our 4-week journey through the Four Pillars of Intentional Living - Nutrition, Movement, Inner Alignment, and now our fourth and final pillar - Positive Social Connections - I keep coming back to one simple truth: wellness is not meant to be done alone. This pillar is often the most overlooked, yet it may be the most powerful. Research shows that loneliness and social isolation are linked to a 26–29% higher risk of premature death, a risk comparable to well-known factors like...

We’ve spent the last few weeks walking through the Four Pillars of Intentional Living, and this week we’re focusing on one of my favorites: Inner Alignment. Inner Alignment can mean many things, emotional steadiness, mental clarity, feeling grounded in your day-to-day life. But as a pharmacist, I often look at Inner Alignment through a slightly different (and very practical) lens: biomarker alignment. Because here’s the truth, your body whispers long before it screams. Subtle symptoms show up...

This week, we’re turning our attention to the Movement pillar. Movement is about more than formal workouts or step goals (although these are important) it’s about supporting how our bodies are designed to function every day. Regular movement improves insulin sensitivity, supports cardiovascular health, preserves muscle mass, and plays a critical role in metabolic and hormonal balance. Even brief bouts of movement throughout the day can reduce inflammation, enhance circulation, and improve...
